Sondheim A Celebration At Carnegie Hall by Stephen Sondheim Various is an excellent album that showcases the best of Sondheim's work. The album features a diverse range of performers, including Bernadette Peters, Patti LuPone, and Liza Minnelli, who all deliver outstanding performances of some of Sondheim's most beloved songs.
The album is a celebration of Sondheim's career, and it does an excellent job of highlighting his contributions to musical theater. The arrangements are expertly done, and the musicianship is top-notch. The album is a must-listen for any Sondheim fan or anyone who enjoys musical theater.
One of the standout performances on the album is Bernadette Peters' rendition of "Not a Day Goes By" from the musical Merrily We Roll Along. Peters' vocals are stunning, and she brings a sense of emotional depth to the song that is truly captivating.
