About Leos Five
Early 60s East St Louis jazz band. Originally assembled to be the house band at 's Blue Note nightclub. The group, anchored by the Hammond B-3 playing of Don James, the dynamic drumming of Kenny Rice, and the tenor sax work of Charles "Little Man" Wright, pre-shadowed the organ-led jazz combos that appeared later in the decade.

yea that's Albert king
I got to know Kenny Rice when my friend Robby Robinson (organ) worked around St.' Louis with Kenny and Guitarist Richard Martin. learned of his history with a bunch of great artists. Then later when I was working with Phil Driscoll trumpet and keyboard vocalist at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel. in 1980. Kenny would come by once in a while and was always supportive. I haven't seen him for many years but saw a pic on line for BB's Blues and Soups downtown St Louis. Used to play at BB's with a pretty good band Manana with Jorge Mabarak,Jimmy Hinds,Reggie Pryor,Gary Smythe, and Jeff Parsons
