Esteban's tribute album "Wear The Black: A Tribute To Johnny Cash" is a fitting homage to the legendary country artist. The album features 12 tracks, all classic Johnny Cash songs, reimagined and delivered in Esteban's signature style. The album starts with a bang with the iconic "Folsom Prison Blues" and keeps the energy level high with tracks like "Ring Of Fire" and "I Walk The Line". Esteban's guitar work is impeccable throughout the album, and his voice is a perfect match for Cash's gravelly baritone.
The album also features some excellent guest appearances, including the soulful vocals of Margo Rey on "Jackson" and the haunting harmonies of violinist Scarlet Rivera on "The Man Comes Around". The album ends on a poignant note with "Hurt", a song that Cash made his own in his later years. Esteban's version is a heartfelt tribute to the man who inspired him and many others to pursue music.

I used to see him play in the mid to late 90's in Phoenix, AZ at the Double Tree Ranch. He performed solo or with his daughter at most. He was much better to listen to then before becoming an orchestrated band.
Met him on a plane once . He was flying from Islip Macarthur airport to Florida to to sell guitatrs on TV. No glasses and hat. Just long hair and just being Steve Paul. Long time ago!!
