Corners' self-titled album is a solid debut effort that showcases the band's unique blend of post-punk and garage rock. From the opening track "Love Letters," the band sets the tone with a driving beat and catchy guitar riffs that will have your head nodding along in no time.
Throughout the album, Corners' sound is characterized by a raw energy that is both infectious and unpolished. This is particularly evident in tracks like "Caught in Frustration" and "Maxed Out on Distractions," where the band's rawness and intensity are on full display.
Despite their rough-around-the-edges sound, Corners also show a willingness to experiment with different styles and textures. This is evident in tracks like "Bones in the Grave" and "Pressure," where the band incorporates elements of psychedelia and shoegaze into their sound.
