I got the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem album when I was younger so my dad could her the Celtic music he heard his great grand dad talk about.    it is similar in some ways to the old time hillbilly music of Americana

Can someone please post the lyrics to this song. I'm not native to the isle but my blood yearns for the tid bits of my heritage I can recover. I would be much obliged

This is one of my favorite songs of theirs. Paddy and Tom Clancy have a nice bit of harmony at the end during the phrase, "and I've had twenty-nine." It's an ingenious arrangement.

This is an old Glaswegian song. My late grandmother who was born in the late 1880's used to sing this to me when I was just
a child. Happy memories.
