The Unwinding Hours, the self-titled debut album by the Scottish duo Unwinding Hours, is a stunning and emotionally charged work of art. Comprised of brothers Iain and Craig B. from the disbanded group Aereogramme, the album showcases their incredible musicianship and songwriting abilities.
The album opens with the hauntingly beautiful track "Knut," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song is a slow-burning ballad with soaring vocals and a powerful instrumental arrangement that builds to a climactic finish.
The Unwinding Hours is an album that takes the listener on a journey through a range of emotions, from the melancholic "Tightrope" to the uplifting "Peaceful Liquid Shell". The album is a masterclass in songwriting, with each track perfectly crafted to create a cohesive and immersive listening experience.
