The Citadel, the latest album from the synthwave artist Turbo Knight, is a stunning journey through the neon-lit streets of a dystopian future. The album is a masterful blend of retro-inspired synths, driving beats, and soaring melodies that transport the listener to a world of cyberpunk adventure.
From the opening track, "The Citadel," the album sets the tone with its pulsing bassline and sweeping synths. The songs that follow, such as "City Lights" and "Midnight Rain," continue to build on this foundation, adding layers of intricate melodies and intricate rhythms that keep the listener engaged.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "Rise of the Machines," which features a driving beat and a soaring guitar solo that channels the spirit of classic '80s action movies. Another highlight is "The Resistance," which features a haunting vocal performance from guest singer Megan McDuffee.
