Review by Siddharth Jain

The album Busted by Murray Roman is a classic comedy album that has stood the test of time. Released in 1973, the album features Roman's signature style of storytelling and observational humor. The album is a collection of humorous stories and anecdotes that are guaranteed to make listeners laugh out loud.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Hippy-Dippy Weatherman", which is a hilarious take on the weather reports of the time. Roman's exaggerated delivery and clever wordplay make this track a true classic. Another standout track is "The National Brotherhood Week", which satirizes the idea of a week dedicated to brotherhood and unity.

Totally thought Shadow sampled this from a Paul Douglas film noir.
Finally, I always thought it was the actor George Segal. RIP.
I finally have the knowledge, initially thought it was sampled from a film but later started thinking either a stand up set or tv interview. Settled eventually on Lenny Bruce but could never find the “bit”.
I always thought this was a sample from an old Elliot Gould or George Seigal movie from the 70's.
DJ SHADOW...Im obsessed with this song?
Shadow turned this section into this into a Kafkaesque, existential crisis, smack dab in the middle of an album swirling and swirling through moods and emotions
I was just listening to Stem.
So many DJ Shadow fans here ?
Lost Murray Roman show just posted on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgodcyYgJdE
I always thought the sample was of George Segal. Pitched down, it sounds almost exactly like him. Well, 22 years later or whatever, glad I finally learned the truth :)
I always thought it was Elliot Gould
part you're looking for is at 2:00
All these years I thought it was from a obscure movie with George Segal...
I never thought it was from a comedy since the rest of the song was so sad
I always imaged this was Lee Marvin!
Thanks for sharing this. I've been wondering what happened to the guy with the parking tickets for 20 years now!
Cor. I always thought it was Elliott Gould from one of those films he did in the 1970s when he was trying to ruin his career. Long Goodbye, Busting, Whiffs etc
