Fange's latest album Punir is a brutal and unrelenting assault on the senses. The French band's third full-length release is a stark departure from their earlier work, with Punir showcasing a much darker and heavier sound.
The album is an intense blend of sludge, doom, and black metal, with crushing riffs and pummeling drums that never let up. The vocals are harsh and guttural, adding to the overall sense of aggression and brutality.
Despite its unrelenting nature, Punir is a well-crafted album that showcases Fange's technical prowess and songwriting abilities. The tracks flow seamlessly into each other, creating a cohesive and immersive listening experience.
One standout track is "Vore," which features an ominous and foreboding intro before launching into a relentless assault of distorted guitars and thunderous drums. Another highlight is "Ressac," which features a slower, more atmospheric sound that builds to a crushing climax.
