The album Old Comrades New Comrades by Band of HM Royal Marines (Royal Marines School of Music) Conducted by Lieut Col GAC Hoskins MVO, ARAM, RM is a magnificent collection of traditional and contemporary military music. The album features a wide range of compositions, from stirring marches and fanfares to emotive ballads and hymns.

The musicianship on display throughout the album is truly outstanding, with the Band of HM Royal Marines delivering powerful and precise performances under the expert guidance of Lieut Col GAC Hoskins. The arrangements are intricate and dynamic, showcasing the full range of the band's instruments and talents.

One of the standout tracks on the album is the stirring rendition of "The British Grenadiers", a classic military march that has been a staple of British military music for centuries. The band's rendition is both rousing and precise, capturing the spirit and energy of the original composition.

About The Band Of HM Royal Marines (Royal Marines School Of Music) Conducted By Lieut Col GAC Hoskins MVO, ARAM, RM

One of six bands in the Royal Navy. The Royal Marines School of Music was founded, as The Royal Naval School of Music, in 1903 at Eastney Barracks, Portsmouth. In 1930 it moved to Deal, Kent, a historic Royal Navy base and shipyard. Between 1940 and 1950, it moved to various locations around the country before returning to Deal. The school relocated again in 1996 and returned to Portsmouth, making its home in the former detention quarters within HMS "Nelson". Please be aware that there are multiple regiments that use similar names. Please check also: Band of HM Royal Marines, Portsmouth -> Band of HM Royal Marines, Commando Training Centre -> Band of HM Royal Marines, HMS Collingwood (ex Britannia Royal Naval College) -> , Dartmouth As the name suggests, this is the entry for the School of Music, not the Portsmouth band
