Avalanche is a Norwegian disco and dance duo group founded in 1984 and consist of the married couple Kjetil Røsnes and Kirsti Johansen. The band has published two albums. The most known song is probably Johnny Johnny Come Home from their first album. The song was on the top of several European song lists. In France it sold almost 700.000 copies. The couple has also composed or produced many songs, and had a close collaboration with the recognized producers Stock, Aitken, Waterman. One example is Samantha Foxs comeback song Santa Maria. They lived in Germany and France almost the whole 90s. After that they moved back to Norway. They'd later record as . {;}Australian hard-rock band, mid 1970s.

I have been huge into Oz rock since I was a kid. Later on as a teenager I met a guy from there in a music store then in my hometown where he taught be all about the ones who were big in Australia Masters, Zoot, Easybeats, etc. I was really excited. At that time I was receiving mail order lists from disreputable dealers, but they were great for information on bands I hadn't heard of. Over time I've been schooled by friends and other Aussies, but Avalanche were the band that really made me huge into the whole scene. Avalanche, Blackfeather, and Finch. You can't lose with Oz rock!
